WestΒ (born October 5, 1980)Β is an AmericanΒ film director, producer, screenwriter, editor, cinematographer, and actor, best known for his work inΒ horror films.Β He directed the horror filmsΒ The RoostΒ (2005),Β Trigger ManΒ (2007),Β The House of the DevilΒ (2009),Β The InnkeepersΒ (2011), the WesternΒ In a Valley of ViolenceΒ (2016), as well as theΒ XΒ film series. He has also acted in a number of films, mostly in those directed by either himself orΒ Joe Swanberg.
