Thomas Michael KeneallyΒ (born 7 October 1935)Β is an Australian novelist, playwright, essayist, and actor. He is best known for his historical fiction novelΒ Schindler's Ark, the story ofΒ Oskar Schindler's rescue of Jews duringΒ the Holocaust, which won theΒ Booker PrizeΒ in 1982. The book would later be adapted intoΒ Steven Spielberg's 1993 filmΒ Schindler's List, which won sevenΒ Academy Awards, includingΒ Best Picture.
