Yeun Sang-YeopΒ (Korean:Β μ°μμ½; born December 21, 1983), known professionally asΒ Steven YeunΒ (/jΚn/Β YUHN), is an American actor. Yeun initially became famous for playingΒ Glenn RheeΒ inΒ The Walking Dead (2010β2016). He earned critical acclaim for the filmsΒ BurningΒ (2018) andΒ Β MinariΒ (2020). The latter earned him a nomination for theΒ Academy Award for Best Actor, making him the firstΒ Asian AmericanΒ actor to be nominated.Β TimeΒ magazine named him one of theΒ 100 most influential people in the worldΒ in 2021.Β In 2023, he starred in the dark comedy seriesΒ BeefΒ (2023), for which he won twoΒ Primetime Emmy AwardsΒ and aΒ Golden Globe Award.
