SΓ΄nia Maria Campos Braga (born June 8, 1950) is a Brazilian actress. She's known for herΒ Golden Globe Awardβnominated performances inΒ Kiss of the Spider Woman (1985) andΒ Moon over ParadorΒ (1988). She received aΒ BAFTA AwardΒ nomination in 1981 forΒ Dona Flor and Her Two HusbandsΒ (first released in 1976). She was nominated for anΒ Emmy AwardΒ and a third Golden Globe Award for her role in for the 1994 television filmΒ The Burning Season. In 2020,Β The New York TimesΒ ranked her #24 in its list of the 25 Greatest Actors of the 21st Century.
