Sebastian StanΒ (born August 13, 1982) is a Romanian-born American actor and producer. He gained recognition for his role asΒ Bucky Barnes / Winter SoldierΒ in theΒ Marvel Cinematic Universe media franchise, beginning with the filmΒ Captain America: The First AvengerΒ (2011), and serving as a lead actor in theΒ Disney+Β miniseriesΒ The Falcon and the Winter SoldierΒ (2021) and the filmΒ Thunderbolts*Β (2025).
On television, Stan playedΒ Carter BaizenΒ inΒ Gossip GirlΒ (2007β2010) and theΒ Mad HatterΒ inΒ Once Upon a TimeΒ (2012), and starred in the miniseriesΒ Political AnimalsΒ (2012). In 2022, he received critical acclaim for his portrayal ofΒ Tommy LeeΒ in theΒ Hulu miniseriesΒ Pam & Tommy, earning nominations for aΒ Primetime Emmy AwardΒ and aΒ Golden Globe Award. OnΒ Broadway, Stan has appeared in theΒ Eric BogosianΒ playΒ Talk RadioΒ (2007) and starred in theΒ William IngeΒ playΒ PicnicΒ (2013).
