Scott Edward AdkinsΒ (born 17 June 1976)Β is an English actor and martial artist. He gained prominence with his portrayal of the Russian prison fighter Yuri Boyka in the American filmΒ Undisputed II: Last Man StandingΒ (2006), a role he reprised in its sequelsΒ Undisputed III: RedemptionΒ (2010), which won him anΒ Action on Film AwardΒ for Breakout Action Star, andΒ Boyka: UndisputedΒ (2017), which won him aΒ Jackie Chan Action Movie AwardΒ for Best Action Movie Actor.
His early acting credits include minor roles in the Hong Kong filmsΒ The Accidental SpyΒ (2001),Β Black Mask 2: City of MasksΒ (2002), andΒ The MedallionΒ (2003), and the American filmsΒ Special ForcesΒ (2003),Β UnleashedΒ (2005), andΒ The Pink PantherΒ (2006). His firstΒ lead roleΒ was as Casey Bowman in the American martial arts filmΒ Ninja (2009), a role he reprised in the sequelΒ Ninja: Shadow of a TearΒ (2013). Adkins has been practising martial arts since the age of 13, when he took upΒ taekwondoΒ and earned his black belt at age 19. He is also trained in the styles ofΒ judo,Β kickboxing,Β capoeira,Β Krav Maga,Β Jeet Kune DoΒ (JKD), andΒ Wushu.
