Sandra Annette BullockΒ (/ΛbΚlΙk/; born July 26, 1964) is an American actress and film producer. TheΒ highest-paid actressΒ of 2010 and 2014,Β Bullock's filmographyΒ spans both comedy and drama, andΒ her accoladesΒ include anΒ Academy AwardΒ and aΒ Golden Globe Award. She was named one ofΒ Time's 100 Most Influential People in the worldΒ in 2010.
After making her acting debut with a minor role in the thrillerΒ HangmenΒ (1987), Bullock received early attention for her supporting role in the action filmΒ Demolition ManΒ (1993). Her breakthrough in the action thrillerΒ SpeedΒ (1994) led to leading roles in the romantic comedyΒ While You Were SleepingΒ (1995), as well as the dramasΒ A Time to KillΒ (1996) andΒ Hope FloatsΒ (1998).
