Robert RodatΒ (born c. 1960) is an American screenwriter and producer of film and television. He is known for writing the filmsΒ Saving Private RyanΒ (1998), which earned himΒ Academy Award andΒ Golden Globe AwardΒ nominations for Best Original Screenplay;Β Fly Away HomeΒ (1996);Β The PatriotΒ (2000); andΒ The Catcher Was a Spy (2018). He is also the creator of the television seriesΒ Falling SkiesΒ (2011β15) andΒ Those About to DieΒ (2024).
