Paul Edward Valentine GiamattiΒ (/ΛdΚiΛΙΛmΙΛti/JEE-Ι-MAH-tee; born JuneΒ 6, 1967) is an American actor.Β His accoladesΒ include aΒ Primetime Emmy Award, threeΒ Golden Globes, and nominations for twoΒ Academy AwardsΒ and aΒ British Academy Film Award.
After studying acting at theΒ Yale School of Drama, he performed in numerous theatrical productions. Giamatti debuted on Broadway, portraying Ezra Chater in theΒ Tom StoppardΒ playΒ ArcadiaΒ (1995).
