Biography
Paul FeigΒ (/fiΛΙ‘/; born September 17, 1962) is an American film director, producer, screenwriter and actor. He is best known for directing films such asΒ BridesmaidsΒ (2011),Β The HeatΒ (2013),Β SpyΒ (2015),Β GhostbustersΒ (2016),Β A Simple FavorΒ (2018), andΒ Last ChristmasΒ (2019). He often collaborates with actressΒ Melissa McCarthy.
Feig created the comedy seriesΒ Freaks and Geeks (1999β2000) andΒ Other SpaceΒ (2015). He has also directed several episodes ofΒ Arrested Development,Β Nurse Jackie,Β Mad Men,Β The Office,Β Parks and Recreation,Β 30 Rock, andΒ Weeds. He received nominations for twoΒ Primetime Emmy AwardsΒ for writing onΒ Freaks and Geeks, and two for producing and directing onΒ The Office. His most notable acting roles were as Bobby Wynn in the sitcomΒ The Jackie Thomas ShowΒ (1992β1993), Tim the Camp Counselor in the comedy filmΒ HeavyweightsΒ (1995), and Mr. Eugene Pool on the sitcomΒ Sabrina the Teenage WitchΒ (1996β1997).
