Noomi RapaceΒ (Swedish:Β [ΛnΗΛmΙͺΒ raΛpasΛ]; nΓ©eΒ NorΓ©n; born 28 December 1979) is a Swedish actress.Β She achieved international fame with her portrayal ofΒ Lisbeth SalanderΒ in the Swedish film adaptations of theΒ MillenniumΒ seriesΒ (2009):Β The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,Β The Girl Who Played with Fire, andΒ The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest. For her performance in theΒ MillenniumΒ series, Rapace won, amongst others, twoΒ Nymphe d'Or, aΒ Guldbagge Award, and aΒ Satellite AwardΒ as Best Actress, and was nominated for aΒ BAFTA Award, anΒ International Emmy AwardΒ and aΒ European Film Award. Following the success of theΒ MillenniumΒ series, Rapace has gone on to star in American movies.
