Nancy SpringerΒ (born July 5, 1948) is an American author of fantasy,Β young adult literature,Β mystery, and science fiction.Β Her novelΒ Larque on the WingΒ won theΒ Tiptree Award in 1994. She also received theΒ Edgar Award from theΒ Mystery Writers of America for her novelsΒ Toughing ItΒ in 1995 andΒ Looking for Jamie BridgerΒ in 1996. Additionally, she received the Carolyn W. Field Award from the Pennsylvania Library Association in 1999 for her novelΒ I am Mordred.Β She has written over fifty books over a career that spans nearly four decades.
She released her firstΒ Enola HolmesΒ book in 2006, followed by seven sequels in the series. Her other series includeΒ The Book of the IsleΒ fantasy series and theΒ Tales of Rowan Hood. The Enola Holmes MysteriesΒ was adapted in 2020 as the Netflix filmΒ Enola HolmesΒ and a 2022 sequel, Enola Holmes 2.
