Ming-Na WenΒ (Chinese:Β ζΊ«ζε¨; born November 20, 1963)Β is an AmericanΒ actress and model. She has won multiple awards throughout her career, including anΒ Annie AwardΒ and aΒ Saturn Award, in addition to a Β Screen Actors Guild Award nomination. She was honoured as aΒ Disney LegendΒ in 2019 and a star on theΒ Hollywood Walk of FameΒ in 2023.
Wen's breakthrough role was as June Woo inΒ The Joy Luck ClubΒ (1993). Other early successes include the role ofΒ Dr Jing-Mei "Deb" ChenΒ in the medical drama seriesΒ ERΒ (1995β2004) and her voice role asΒ Fa MulanΒ in theΒ Walt Disney Animated Classic Mulan, as well as its sequelΒ Mulan II, several video games and guest appearances in TV shows such asΒ Sofia the First. Additionally, Wen made a cameo appearance in the live-action remake ofΒ MulanΒ (2020).
Wen is well-known for playing agentΒ Melinda May in theΒ MarvelΒ seriesΒ Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.Β (2013β2020) and has also appeared in theΒ Star Wars franchise as the bounty hunterΒ Fennec Shand, appearing inΒ The MandalorianΒ (2019β2020)Β Star Wars: The Bad BatchΒ (2021, 2024), andΒ The Book of Boba FettΒ (2021β2022).
