Max LandisΒ (born August 3, 1985) is an American filmmaker. He is the son of directorΒ John Landis. He wrote scripts for the filmsΒ ChronicleΒ (2012),Β American UltraΒ (2015),Β Victor FrankensteinΒ (2015), andΒ BrightΒ (2017). He wrote and directed the filmΒ Me Him HerΒ (2015), produced the first two seasons of theΒ SyfyΒ seriesΒ Channel ZeroΒ (2016), and created the seriesΒ Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective AgencyΒ (2016) based onΒ the novel, forΒ BBC America. He has also written a limited series published byΒ DCΒ andΒ Image Comics.
In 2011 and 2012, he was listed amongΒ ForbesΒ magazine's "30 Under 30" young people to watch in the entertainment industry.Β His career stalled in 2017, following accusations from several women of emotional and sexual abuse.
