Lance Solomon ReddickΒ (June 7, 1962Β β March 17, 2023)Β was an American actor. He portrayedΒ Cedric DanielsΒ inΒ The WireΒ (2002β2008),Β Phillip BroylesΒ inΒ FringeΒ (2008β2013), and Chief Irvin Irving inΒ BoschΒ (2014β2020). In film, he played Charon in theΒ John WickΒ franchise (2014β2025) and General Caulfield inΒ White House Down (2013).
He also portrayedΒ Detective Johnny BasilΒ in the fourth season ofΒ Oz (2000β01), Matthew Abaddon inΒ Lost (2004β10),Β Albert WeskerΒ and his clones in the Netflix seriesΒ Resident EvilΒ (2022), andΒ ZeusΒ inΒ Percy Jackson and the OlympiansΒ (2024), the latter released posthumously and earned him aΒ Children's and Family Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting PerformerΒ nomination. He provided the voice and likeness for video game characters Martin Hatch inΒ Quantum Break, Sylens inΒ Horizon Zero DawnΒ andΒ Horizon Forbidden West, and Commander Zavala in theΒ Destiny franchise.
