Kyle BaldaΒ (born March 9, 1971) is an American animator and film director, best known for co-directing theΒ IlluminationΒ filmsΒ The LoraxΒ (2012) withΒ Chris Renaud,Β MinionsΒ (2015) andΒ Despicable Me 3Β (2017) withΒ Pierre Coffin andΒ Minions: The Rise of GruΒ (2022), with Brad Ableson and Jonathan del Val. He previously worked as an animator forΒ Industrial Light & MagicΒ before moving toΒ Pixar,Β where he worked on three of their films.
