He is known for his role asΒ DineshΒ in theΒ HBOΒ comedy seriesΒ Silicon ValleyΒ (2014β2019) and for co-writing and starring in the romantic comedy filmΒ The Big SickΒ (2017). For co-writing the latter with his wife,Β Emily V. Gordon, they were nominated for theΒ Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay.
