Christopher Catesby HaringtonΒ (born 26 December 1986), known professionally asΒ Kit Harington, is an English actor. He is best known for his role asΒ Jon SnowΒ in theΒ HBOΒ fantasy television seriesΒ Game of ThronesΒ (2011β2019), for which he received aΒ Golden GlobeΒ nomination and two nominations forΒ Primetime Emmy AwardsΒ andΒ Critics' Choice Television Awards.
A graduate of theΒ Royal Central School of Speech & Drama, Harington made his professional acting debut in 2009 with the lead role of Albert Narracott in theΒ West EndΒ playΒ War Horse. He has since returned to the West End, taking roles in productions ofΒ The Children's MonologuesΒ (2015),Β The VoteΒ (2015),Β Doctor FaustusΒ (2016), andΒ True WestΒ (2018β2019).
