Kirsten Caroline DunstΒ (/ΛkΙͺΙrstΙn/Β KEER-stΙn; born April 30, 1982) is an American actress. She made her acting debut in the anthology filmΒ New York StoriesΒ (1989) and has since starred inΒ several films and television productions. She has receivedΒ several awards, including nominations for anΒ Academy Award, aΒ Primetime Emmy Award, and fourΒ Golden Globe Awards.
Dunst first gained recognition for her role as child vampireΒ ClaudiaΒ in the horror filmΒ Interview with the VampireΒ (1994), which earned her aΒ Golden GlobeΒ nomination forΒ Best Supporting Actress. She also had roles in her youth inΒ Little WomenΒ (1994) andΒ JumanjiΒ (1995).
