Kei Urana (θ£ι£ε Urana Kei), also known as Kanaru, is a Japanese illustrator and mangaka who writes and illustrates the Gachiakuta manga series currently serializing in Weekly Shonen Magazine.
Urana is a fan of Soul Eater by Atsushi Ohkubo, and prior to Gachiakuta's serialization, worked as an assistant under Ohkubo for his last workβFire Forceβbefore he called her his successor. She first gained attention as a mangaka when her special one-shot manga "Shikido" won first prize in the 103rd Newcomer Manga Award conducted by Shonen Magazine.
