Karl John GearyΒ (born May 31, 1972) is an Irish-born American actor and club owner.
Geary was born inΒ DublinΒ in 1972. At the age of 15 he moved to theΒ United States; he later obtained aΒ green cardΒ in a visa lottery for Irish illegals, and ultimately became aΒ naturalized citizen.
Geary appeared inΒ Madonna'sΒ SexΒ book. His acting roles includeΒ Sex and the City,Β Hysteria β The Def Leppard Story, andΒ HamletΒ (2000). He wrote and appeared inΒ Coney Island BabyΒ (2003). He appeared as Coffey in the 2008 horror filmThe Burrowers. He owns a bar inΒ downtown ManhattanΒ called Scratcher,[1]Β and previously co-owned another club, the original tinyΒ Cafe Sin-é onΒ St. Mark's PlaceΒ in theΒ East Village, where he waited on tables alongsideΒ Jeff Buckley.
