He is best known for his work on the science-fiction action genre, including on the seriesΒ Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, the film adaptation ofΒ H. G. Wells'Β War of the WorldsΒ (2005),Β Terminator: Dark FateΒ (2019), andΒ Kingdom of the Planet of the ApesΒ (2024). He also wrote the neo-noir murder mysteryΒ The Black DahliaΒ (2006). He co-wroteΒ James Cameron'sΒ AvatarΒ film sequels and theΒ Marvel Cinematic UniverseΒ superhero filmΒ The Fantastic Four: First StepsΒ (2025).
