Jeremy Strong (born December 25, 1978) is an American actor.Β Known for his intenseΒ method actingΒ style in roles across both stage and screen,Β he has receivedΒ various accolades, including aΒ Primetime Emmy Award, aΒ Tony AwardΒ and aΒ Golden Globe Award, and nominations for anΒ Academy AwardΒ andΒ BAFTA Award. In 2022, Strong was featured onΒ Time'sΒ list of theΒ 100 most influential people in the world.
A graduate ofΒ Yale University, Strong continued his acting studies at theΒ Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London and theΒ Steppenwolf Theatre Company in Chicago. His first off-Broadway performance was as a distraught soldier in theΒ John Patrick ShanleyΒ playΒ DefianceΒ in 2006, with his Broadway debut being in the role ofΒ Richard Rich in the 2008 revival of theΒ Robert BoltΒ playΒ A Man for All Seasons. His film debut came that same year with the comedyΒ Humboldt County. He played minor roles in the 2012 filmsΒ LincolnΒ andΒ Zero Dark Thirty before receiving early recognition forΒ ParklandΒ (2013) andΒ The Big Short (2015). Strong gained international recognition with his portrayal ofΒ Kendall RoyΒ in theΒ HBO drama seriesΒ SuccessionΒ (2018β2023), which won him theΒ Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series.

In 2024, he returned to Broadway to play a conscientious doctor in a small town in the revival of theΒ Henrik IbsenΒ playΒ An Enemy of the People, where he earned aΒ Tony Award for Best Actor in a Play.
