Jack Epps Jr.Β (born November 3, 1949) is an AmericanΒ screenwriter,Β author, andΒ educator known chiefly for such popular 1980s films asΒ Top Gun, Legal Eagles, andΒ The Secret of My Success, which he wrote with longtime partnerΒ Jim Cash. Epps Jr. graduated from the College of Arts and Letters atΒ Michigan State University and has since gone on to teach atΒ the University of Southern California.
