JavierΒ "Harvey"Β GuillΓ©nΒ (Latin American Spanish:[xaΛΞ²jeΙΎΒ ΛxaΙΎΞ²iΒ Ι£iΛΚen]; bornΒ May 3, 1990)Β is an American actor. He is best known for his role as the humanΒ familiarΒ Guillermo de la Cruz in the television seriesΒ What We Do in the Shadows.
GuillΓ©n is the son of Mexican immigrants.Β He adopted the name Harvey when school teachers could not pronounce his first name. GuillΓ©n attendedΒ Citrus College, completing the three-year Citrus Singers program in 2005.Β His father, who was the first person who encouraged him to pursue acting, died ofΒ lung cancerΒ in 2017.
GuillΓ©n speaks Spanish, English, and Japaneseβthe last acquired during a 13-month visit to Japan. He identifies asΒ queer.

GuillΓ©n has appeared in recurring roles on television series such as Alistair Delgado onΒ HugeΒ (2010), Cousin Blobbin onΒ The ThundermansΒ (2013β2018), George Reyes inΒ Eye CandyΒ (2015), and Benedict Fenwick onΒ The Magicians(2017β2018).Β He also appeared in the 2013 filmΒ The Internship.
Beginning in 2019, GuillΓ©n played the role of Guillermo, the vampires' humanΒ familiar, in theΒ FXΒ television seriesΒ What We Do in the Shadows.Β He was set to appear inΒ Quibi's science fiction drama seriesΒ Don't Look DeeperΒ before the platform shut down in December 2020.
GuillΓ©n has received considerable acclaim for his role as Guillermo.Β TheWrapΒ included GuillΓ©n in a list of "2019 Emmy Contenders".Β Hank Steuver, in his review ofΒ What We Do in the ShadowsΒ inΒ The Chicago Tribune, stated that GuillΓ©n "provides at least half the big laughs" in the show.
GuillΓ©n provided the voice of Funny the Magic House inΒ Mickey Mouse Funhouse. He playedΒ NightwingΒ in season 3 ofΒ Harley Quinn.
In 2022, GuillΓ©n provided the voice for the comedic sidekick character Perrito inΒ Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.
In 2023, GuillΓ©n appeared onΒ The Late Show with Stephen ColbertΒ in a skit as RepresentativeΒ George Santos.
In 2024, GuillΓ©n reprised his role as Cousin Blobbin fromΒ The ThundermansΒ inΒ The Thundermans Return. He also provided the voice ofΒ OdieΒ inΒ The Garfield MovieΒ and played Vassago inΒ Helluva Boss.
