Hannah WaddinghamΒ (born 28 July 1974) is an English actress, singer and television presenter. She is known for playing businesswoman Rebecca Welton inΒ Ted LassoΒ (2020β2023), for which she won aΒ Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy SeriesΒ in 2021 and theΒ Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy SeriesΒ in both 2021 and 2022.
She has also appeared in severalΒ West End shows, includingΒ Spamalot, the 2010 Regent's Park revival ofΒ Into the WoodsΒ andΒ The Wizard of OzΒ as theΒ Wicked Witch of the West. She has received threeΒ Olivier AwardΒ nominations for her work.
Waddingham's film work includes the film adaptation ofΒ Les MisΓ©rablesΒ (2012), the psychological thrillerΒ Winter RidgeΒ (2018) and the action comedyΒ The Fall GuyΒ (2024). Other notable television roles include playingΒ Tonya DykeΒ inΒ BenidormΒ (2014),Β Septa UnellaΒ in theΒ fifth seasonΒ of theΒ HBOΒ seriesΒ Game of Thrones(2015β2016),Β Jax-UrΒ inΒ KryptonΒ (2018β2019) and Sofia Marchetti inΒ Sex EducationΒ (2019β2023). In 2023, she co-hosted theΒ Eurovision Song Contest. Beginning in 2023, Waddingham began to expand into voice acting, portraying the snarky goddess Deliria in the animated seriesΒ KrapopolisΒ (2023-present) and earning aΒ Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Character Voice-Over PerformanceΒ nomination and Jinx inΒ The Garfield Movie.
