Hannah E. BeachlerΒ (/biΛklΙr/) is an AmericanΒ production designer. The firstΒ African-AmericanΒ to win theΒ Academy Award for Best Production Design, she is known for herΒ AfrofuturistΒ design direction ofΒ Marvel Studios'Β film seriesΒ Black PantherΒ andΒ Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Beachler has been involved in numerous projects directed by BeyoncΓ©, includingΒ LemonadeΒ andΒ Black Is King.
She also worked on the 2015Β RockyΒ filmΒ Creed,Β theΒ Miles DavisΒ biopicΒ Miles Ahead, andΒ Moonlight.Β She was nominated at theΒ Primetime Emmy AwardsΒ and won threeΒ ADG Awards, aΒ Critics' Choice Movie Award,Β and aΒ Saturn Award.
