Fiona ShawΒ (bornΒ Fiona Mary Wilson, 10 July 1958) is an Irish film and theatre actress. She did extensive work with theΒ Royal Shakespeare CompanyΒ and theΒ National Theatre, as well as in film and television. In 2020, she was listed at No. 29 onΒ The Irish TimesΒ list of Ireland's greatest film actors. She was made anΒ Honorary Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE)Β by QueenΒ Elizabeth IIΒ in 2001.
She won both theΒ 1990Β andΒ 1994Β Laurence Olivier Award for Best ActressΒ for roles in the playsΒ Electra,Β As You Like It,Β The Good Person of SzechwanΒ (1990), andΒ MachinalΒ (1994) and received a further threeΒ Olivier AwardΒ nominations for her roles inΒ MephistoΒ (1986),Β Hedda Gabler (1992), andΒ Happy DaysΒ (2008). She made herΒ BroadwayΒ debut playing the title role inΒ Medea (2002), for which she earned a nomination for theΒ Tony Award for Best Actress in a Play. She returned to Broadway in theΒ Colm TΓ³ibΓnΒ playΒ The Testament of MaryΒ (2013).

For her role as a counsellor inΒ FleabagΒ (2019), she received aΒ Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy SeriesΒ nomination.
