She playedΒ Xenia OnatoppΒ inΒ GoldenEyeΒ (1995),Β Jean Grey / PhoenixΒ in theΒ X-MenΒ film seriesΒ (2000β2014), and Lenore Mills in theΒ TakenΒ film trilogyΒ (2008β2014). In 2008, she was appointed aΒ Goodwill AmbassadorΒ for Integrity by the United Nations. She made her directorial debut withΒ Bringing Up BobbyΒ in 2011. She is also known for her roles in theΒ NetflixΒ original seriesΒ Hemlock GroveΒ (2013β2015),Β FX'sΒ Nip/TuckΒ (2003β2010), andΒ ABC'sΒ How to Get Away with MurderΒ (2014β2020).
