She has won twoΒ Academy Awards for Best Supporting ActressΒ for 1986'sΒ Hannah and Her SistersΒ and 1994'sΒ Bullets Over BroadwayΒ (both directed byΒ Woody Allen), oneΒ Golden Globe AwardΒ forΒ Bullets Over Broadway, the 1997Β Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama SeriesΒ forΒ Road to Avonlea, and the 2008Β Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama SeriesΒ forΒ In Treatment. In addition, she was nominated for anΒ Academy AwardΒ for 1989'sΒ Parenthood.
