Biography

Dennis GassnerΒ (born October 22, 1948) is an American-Canadian production designer. He is notable for his work onΒ Bugsy,Β Big Fish,Β Into the Woods, andΒ Blade Runner 2049, his collaborations with theΒ Coen brothersΒ andΒ Sam Mendes, as well theΒ James BondΒ filmsΒ Quantum of Solace,Β Skyfall, andΒ Spectre, the latter two directed by Mendes. He has been nominated seven times for theΒ Academy Award for Best Production Design and has won once.Β Gassner was nominated for theΒ Art Directors Guild Award for Excellence in Production Design for a Contemporary FilmΒ for his work onΒ Quantum of Solace and won for his work onΒ Skyfall.

Gassner attended theΒ University of Oregon, where he playedΒ college footballΒ as aΒ defensive end from 1967 to 1969.
