In 2022, Jonsson appeared on theΒ Evening StandardΒ list of Londoners to watchΒ and was one ofΒ BritishΒ GQ's Men of the Year Honourees. He was named a 2023 Bright Young Thing byΒ Tatler and aΒ Screen InternationalΒ Star of Tomorrow.Β InΒ 2025, he won theΒ BAFTA Rising Star Award. He was nominated at theΒ British Independent Film AwardsΒ in the Best Lead Performance category for his role in the filmΒ WastemanΒ (2025).Β At theΒ 2026 Comic-Con, Jonsson was announced as the new actor to portrayΒ Black PantherΒ in theΒ Marvel Cinematic Universe.
