Daniel BernhardtΒ (born 31 August 1965) is a Swiss actor, stuntman, martial artist, and former model. He is known for his work on variousΒ action films. He made his acting debut in the leading role in the martial arts filmΒ Bloodsport II: The Next KumiteΒ (1996), and appeared in two of its sequels,Β Bloodsport IIIΒ (1997) andΒ Bloodsport 4: The Dark KumiteΒ (1999).
Also known for playing villainous characters, he appeared oppositeΒ Chuck NorrisΒ inΒ The Cutter(2005),Β Jean-Claude Van DammeΒ inΒ Kill 'Em All (2017),Β Sylvester StalloneΒ inΒ Escape Plan: The ExtractorsΒ (2019), andΒ Keanu ReevesΒ inΒ The Matrix ReloadedΒ (2003) andΒ John WickΒ (2014). He also starred as Siro in the television seriesΒ Mortal Kombat: ConquestΒ (1998β1999). As a stunt performer and fight choreographer, he has worked onΒ Creed IIΒ (2018) andΒ NobodyΒ (2021).
Bernhardt is a black belt inΒ TaekwondoΒ underΒ Black BeltΒ Hall of Fame memberΒ Hee-il ChoΒ (the two also starred together inΒ Bloodsport II). He also studiedΒ Kyokushin karateΒ under South Korean masterΒ Mas Oyama.
