Christopher Michael SandersΒ (born March 12, 1962)Β is an American filmmaker, animator, and voice actor. His credits includeΒ Lilo & StitchΒ (2002) and itsΒ live-action adaptationΒ andΒ How to Train Your DragonΒ (2010), both of which he co-wrote and directed withΒ Dean DeBlois;Β The CroodsΒ (2013) withΒ Kirk DeMicco; andΒ The Wild RobotΒ (2024), receiving nominations for theΒ Academy Award for Best Animated FeatureΒ for all of them. In 2020, he made his live-action directorial debut with the adventure dramaΒ The Call of the Wild. He created the characterΒ StitchΒ in 1985, wrote the film's story, and voiced Stitch inΒ almost all his media appearances.
