Carly MenschΒ is an American playwright, television writer, and producer. She created anΒ Off-BroadwayΒ play calledΒ Len, Asleep in Vinyl, which was later adapted into a film,Β Len and Company.Β She also created a playΒ called Oblivion, played at theΒ Westport County Playhouse, and Β All Hail Hurricane Gordo.Β She has written and produced forΒ Weeds,Β Nurse Jackie, andΒ Orange is the New Black. She co-created (withΒ Liz Flahive) the Netflix seriesΒ GLOW,Β which she currently writes and executive produces. She was nominated for aΒ Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy SeriesΒ in 2018 for her work on GLOW.
Mensch graduated fromΒ Dartmouth CollegeΒ in 2005 and is married to fellow Dartmouth alumnusΒ Latif Nasser, the research director and co-host ofΒ Radiolab.
