Anthony Paul Ramos MartinezΒ (born November 1, 1991) is an American actor and singer. After graduating from theΒ American Musical and Dramatic Academy with a degree in musical theatre, he began performing in stage musicals. In 2015, he originated the dual role ofΒ John LaurensΒ andΒ Philip HamiltonΒ inΒ Hamilton, for which he won aΒ Grammy Award. He received a nomination for theΒ Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Actor in a Supporting Role in a Limited Series or MovieΒ for his performance in theΒ 2020 stage recording.
Ramos played a supporting role inΒ A Star Is Born (2018) and starred in the musical filmΒ In the HeightsΒ (2021), earning him a nomination for theΒ Golden Globe Award for Best Actor β Motion Picture Musical or Comedy, the action filmΒ Transformers: Rise of the BeastsΒ (2023), and the disaster filmΒ TwistersΒ (2024).
