Andrew Scott (born 21 October 1976)Β is an Irish actor. Known for his roles on stage and screen, hisΒ accoladesΒ include aΒ British Academy Television Award,Β Silver BearΒ Berlin International Film Festival, and twoΒ Laurence Olivier Awards, along with nominations for threeΒ Primetime Emmy AwardsΒ and threeΒ Golden Globe Awards.

Scott firstΒ came to prominenceΒ portrayingΒ James MoriartyΒ in the BBC seriesΒ Sherlock (2010–2017), for which he won theΒ BAFTA Television Award for Best Supporting Actor. His role as the priest in the second series ofΒ FleabagΒ (2019) garnered him wider recognition. It earned him theΒ Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. He is also known for his roles in the filmsΒ PrideΒ (2014),Β SpectreΒ (2015), andΒ 1917 (2019). He was nominated for aΒ Golden Globe Award for Best ActorΒ for his starring role in the romantic drama filmΒ All of Us StrangersΒ (2023).
