Adam WingardΒ (/ΛwΙͺΕΙ‘ΙΛrd/Β WING-gard;Β born December 3, 1982) is an American filmmaker. He has been a film director, producer, screenwriter, editor,Β cinematographer, actor, and composer in numerous American films.
Following an early career as a member of theΒ mumblecoreΒ movement, he became notable for his works in the horror and action genres, especially the filmsΒ You're NextΒ (2011) andΒ The GustΒ (2014) and the bigger-budget franchise filmsΒ Blair WitchΒ (2016),Β Death NoteΒ (2017), andΒ Godzilla vs. KongΒ (2021), and its sequelΒ Godzilla x Kong: The New EmpireΒ (2024).
