Adam SomnerΒ (1967 β November 27, 2024) was a British-born American assistant director and film producer, known for working withΒ Martin Scorsese,Β Steven Spielberg,Β Alejandro GonzΓ‘lez IΓ±Γ‘rritu,Β Paul Thomas Anderson, andΒ Ridley Scott. He produced Anderson'sΒ Licorice Pizza (2021), which was nominated for anΒ Academy Award for Best Picture, aΒ Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture β Musical or Comedy, and aΒ BAFTA Award for Best Film.
Born in London in 1967, Somner died fromΒ anaplastic thyroid cancerΒ inΒ Studio City, Los Angeles, California, on November 27, 2024, at the age of 57.
One Battle After AnotherΒ was his final work and is dedicated to his memory.
