Aaron Perry Taylor-Johnson (né Johnson; born 13 June 1990) is a British actor. His accolades include a Golden Globe Award, in addition to nominations for two British Academy Film Awards and a British Independent Film Award.
As aΒ child actor, Taylor-Johnson performed in films includingΒ Shanghai KnightsΒ (2003),Β The IllusionistΒ (2006), andΒ Angus, Thongs and Perfect SnoggingΒ (2008). He had his breakthrough performance asΒ John LennonΒ in the biopicΒ Nowhere BoyΒ (2009), directed byΒ Sam Taylor-Wood,Β whom he married in 2012, adding her surname. He gained recognition for his portrayal of theΒ title characterΒ inΒ Kick-AssΒ (2010) and its sequel, Kick-Ass 2Β (2013), as well as for performances in the crime thrillerΒ Savages (2012), the period dramaΒ Anna KareninaΒ (2012), and the monster filmΒ GodzillaΒ (2014).
Taylor-Johnson next portrayed theΒ Marvel Cinematic UniverseΒ characterΒ Pietro MaximoffΒ inΒ Avengers: Age of UltronΒ (2015).
